The media giant facebook is using its battle with TikTok to a new level. Facebook is now adding Instagram Reels on its App Facebook named, Facebook reels. It will make a section for small videos on its app.

This format of short videos started and was originally spread by TikTok that was been repeated by many more which includes YouTube which launched YouTube shorts.

Reels at Facebook are none different from Instagram. Those are also said as Facebook Reels plus operate the similar way. The Feature is now available in the USA on Android plus iOS however it could be coming in more regions later. Facebook Reels consists of music, audio, effects, and further, it could be seen at the News Feed and Groups.

As on Instagram, these videos posted at Reels will help to discover new profiles also creators. On top of News Feed, people could discover reels related to their interests also whatever is now popular at the time, all algorithmically forwarded.

These Reels will be supported for AR effects, timers, countdowns, managing playback rate, placing together many clips, and with external audio. These will be visible openly to users above 18, however, you could change the followers anytime within the settings.

While TikTok produces a very large user count, Facebook has an advantage above its competitive app due to having 2 different apps in which Reels is available. Furthermore, with Facebook’s more reliable monetization system, it can better incentivize Reels content. 

Not just this, Facebook states it’s committed to investing above $1 billion in creators in 2022, plus submitting a new bonus program to help creators make money if users see their reels.

“The Reels Play bonus pays eligible creators based on the performance of their reels, and will be available on both Facebook and Instagram. After seeing creators embrace the Instagram Reels Summer bonus, we hope this new bonus will allow more creators to make money from their content.”

These Reels Play bonuses would originally be invite-only, starting in the US also potentially extending in the globe over time.
